Boasting technology that was developed for the track and proven at the prestigious 24 hours of Le Mans, ADVAN Sport delivers high-speed and grip capabilities to the most selective drivers. With precision engineering down to on e billionth of a meter, ADVAN Sport offers strenth, control and speed capabilities previously unavailable to consumers. 78% of the line is (Y) - speed rated ≥ 186mph.

  • Variable Round Grooves: Cut in a round shape at different widths and angles, these grooves prevent one-sided abrasion and maximize performance on wet surfaces.
  • Circumferential Grooves: Four wide circumferential grooves quickly and efficiently evacuate water for enhanced wet traction.
  • Groove-in-Groove Configuration: Finely cut into the walls of the four main grooves, these small grooves control the stress to the block to promote even wear.
  • Nanotechnology Tread Compound: Yokohama’s newest Polymer/Silica/Carbon Nanotechnology tread compound bonds super-fine, high-grade silica and polymers at the molecular level to increase flexibility, durability and contact area by approximately 10% for better wet and dry traction through a variety of temperature ranges.
  • Triple Edge Cap Plies with Overlap Construction: By placing one cap ply across the tread in an “S” pattern, two layers are formed at the shoulders. A second cap ply is then added, creating three layers at the shoulders and two layers across the middle of the tread for enhanced durability at extreme speeds.
  • Rayon Ply Construction: The plies are constructed from rayon strips – chosen because of their stable nature to protect against heat. The rayon strips are wound at a 50% overlap creating a jointless, double layered ply.
  • Sidewall Construction: Features high-stiffness bead filler, sidewall compounds and steel reinforcements to improve high-speed capabilities and handling.
